House Update: Second Living Room Progress

We originally titled this room as the dining room in our home tour page, but now it is our “second living room”. And I have to admit, we’ve barely used this room at all in the 6 months we’ve had the house. We put a couch and entertainment center in it, but we’ve also been piling pictures and goodies from Home Goods into this room too. Well that wont be happening any more! My mom and I decided to paint this room last week. We used Sherwin Williams Quicksilver and it looks AMAZING. If you check out the before picture you can see the lighting fixture. No words for that light. I mean, maybe if it wasn’t yellow I wouldn’t mind it, but yeah, that’s officially gone and we’re in search of a new lighting fixture for this room. I’m thinking something white or silver.

Like I said before, I absolutely love the color and I think it really brings out the white of the crown molding and trim. There were furniture marks on the walls before the paint, and I think now the walls look so much cleaner. We’ll also be adding an area rug soon and some curtains we just bought so I’ll update this room on here in a couple weeks.

Here’s another view of the room after it was painted. I think this color really gives the room a calm feel. We’ll definitely be using this TV room a lot more now 🙂
