We have a guest blogger today named Jessica Chastain who asked us if she could write a post about ways to get a cheeky bedroom! Jessica blogs over at 4 Interior Design. Enjoy!

Hi! I am Jessica Christian and I am a décor lover. Today I am sharing tips for attaining a cheeky bedroom. Hope you have a great read. A big thanks to Rissa for letting me do it.
5 Ways to Get a Cheeky Bedroom
Our bedroom is our sanctum, the one place where we go to rest and relax. As such, we want our rooms to be beautiful, but also warm and welcoming, a friendly haven to which we can escape after a long tiring day. Beautifully furnished and well-appointed room look great, but they can be lacking that small cheeky touch that lifts our spirits and gives us a small intimate boost for knowing the secret that no-one else does! Add these small hints of whimsy to your bedroom and make it into your perfect hideaway.
Add a Little Something…
A huge stuffed bunny or teddy bear, a slightly risquĂ© picture on the wall (as long as it incorporates a sense of humour) or even a framed picture of your favourite cartoon character instantly lighten the mood of the room. Clean up your favourite toy from when you were a child to give the room a homely welcome that will transport you back to the feeling of being safe and loved that you had as a child, tucked up snugly in bed on a winter’s night.
Choose a Theme, Any Theme
While neutral, bland colours are easy to maintain and go with most other colours, it is best to choose a colour to inject into your bedroom. Add touches of your chosen colour into the room, for example a navy and white bedroom looks wonderful with touches of red, perhaps a framed pop-art poster predominantly red, but with hints of blue and white so as to tone in with the rest of the décor. These touches of colour add a lively, cheeky air to the room that you will love. For cheeky bedroom themes you can check yorkshirelinen

Wipe-board or Blackboard
In an easily accessible place, install a wipe-board or traditional blackboard, with a selection of coloured pens or chalks to hand. Write inspirational messages, reminders of things to do, or simply draw pictures on the board, changing them often! Not only will this practise help you to de-stress and organise your thoughts better, you will have a lively, ever changing series of words and pictures throughout each month. Use all the colours on each entry to really make the board pop out at you!
Â
Bunting
A row of cheery bunting along the top of a wall can transform a rather grim room into a much more cheerful place. If you do not like the idea of a whole string of flags you can use a single brightly-coloured pennant or pin a jaunty flag on the wall to brighten up the walls.
Â
Faux Fur Cushions/ Duvet Cover
Delightfully whimsical and cuddly, purchase some faux-fur cushions for the bed. Not only can you cuddle these, but they add a lovely touch to even the most formal room. Faux fur should always be the brightest unnatural colours you can find, like acid green and hot pink, as this gives the bed a unique air that would not be so noticeable with more natural earthy colours, although white or cream can work too. Study your room and decide what it needs to enhance the friendliness and warmth that it offers. You will find that little cheeky touches go a long way to completing the look of a beautiful bedroom.
