Creating straight lines and drawing/taping them correctly took about 3 hours. I did it alone, so that’s probably why it took so long, but if you have help it’ll go quicker. I was also being a perfectionist about it 🙂 So that was on Monday, and on Tuesday my mom came over and helped me paint the first stripe color. When using Frog Tape, I learned it’s good to leave the tape on for an hour after painting, then take it off to reveal your perfect straight line. Frog Tape is seriously amazing stuff! I’ll need to buy lots more of it. Make sure you first use the green frog tape when using it on bare walls or whatever wall color you’re painting over. After removing the Frog Tape from the first stripe color, I am now letting this color dry for at least 24 hours. I will go back and then add yellow Frog Tape to the darker grey I just painted when it’s fully dry. The yellow Frog Tape is for delicate surfaces, so it’s perfect for putting over the newly painted and dried stripes so I can create the lighter color I have.
Please note that the paint is still drying in these pictures, so that’s why it may look lighter on some areas of the walls 🙂
Starting to remove the tape. Just look at those perfect lines! Thank you for existing Frog Tape!
Ah, I’m in love with my walls! I may never leave my office after this! Can’t wait to finish on Thursday.
Paint color used: Sherwin Williams – Samovar Silver
