After Sophie was born I wanted to do something special with her coming home outfit and birth announcement. While shopping at TJMaxx one day I found the perfect sized shadowbox and knew I wanted to use it for this little project.
The shadowbox came with little pins that were perfect to keep everything in place. I ended up putting her coming home outfit, mittens, hat, hospital band, birth announcement, a copy of her first footprints and first ultrasound in there. I think it came together perfectly, and we have it displayed in her room for now. I would love for her to keep this when she’s older since it’s so special and has a lot of meaning to us. I have also seen similar shadowboxes at Home Goods, Marshall’s and Michael’s as well as a few more options for you.
I did not take step by step photos for this, because it was really so simple. Put everything in the box before pinning them down, and move items around until it looks how you like. Pin everything in place and display for years to come. This is my favorite little Sophie project so far. I just love it so much and look at it every day.
