Hi everyone! I hope you’re all staying safe and healthy out there, and I hope you all had a wonderful Easter. Easter was a bit different this year, but we had a really great day with just the three of us. It was our first big holiday that we spent as a family of three, and it was a really relaxing and fun day.
Since I knew we wouldn’t be spending Easter with our families this year thanks to Corona, I wanted to send some Easter cards from Sophie to our close family. I took a couple Easter photos of her, got them printed, and then sent those with these adorable painted eggs. This painting activity can be done with any shape, for any holiday, or just on a normal piece of paper to display your little one’s beautiful artwork!
Sophie is 6 months old, and needed a little help from me to show her that it was fun to press down on the Ziploc and move the paint around. She had a blast making these, and even laughed her way through one of them! I would say any little one 6 months and older would love this.
Here is what you need:
– Ziploc baggies (or you could use cling wrap)
– Craft paint in your choice of colors
– Construction paper
– Scissors to cut your shape
I put Sophie in her high chair seat on our front porch, and then added some dots of each color paint to my egg shape. Gently slide the paper into the bag and seal it.
Here it is after we mixed the paint around! Be careful when removing it from the bag. It can get a little messy.
Here are a couple while drying. They turned out so cute!
We kept one for ourselves so we can keep it as a piece of artwork to save and show Sophie when she’s older. This was her first craft, and I will save this forever 🙂 I added in “Sophie’s First Easter 2020” with a Sharpie. On the ones we sent to family I wrote “Hoppy Easter Love, Sophie”.
