So we’ve decided we want to tackle renovating the downstairs half bath in the Spring. Hopefully Spring will be here soon also, because this was what we got today:
Yep, that’s about 12 inches of snow. Did I mention I can’t wait for Spring? It’s only February 5th and it seems like we’ve already had 15 snowstorms.
Anyway, back to the bathroom. That bathroom – I barely have words for it. I avoid using it. Blah. It has a blue sink, blue floors and used to have blue wallpaper until I ripped that ugly stuff off and ended up painting the bathroom a cream color: Not bad, but still fugly.
So I’ve started thinking about what I’d like to do to it. Here’s my list:
- Rip out current floor, put in tile or wooden flooring
- New mirror (check, we already got one!)
- New sconce (also check, got that too)
- New sink and cabinet
- New toilet at some point, not right away, but if we find a good deal we would probably get it.
Basically I just want a pretty bathroom for us and for guests. It’s very outdated right now and I can’t wait to fix that. I started researching some ideas of what we would like. I want simple and minimal:
