Happy Tuesday everyone! I don’t usually get on board with Valentines Day projects, but this year I thought why not? Let’s do a couple V-Day DIYs together!
Up first I made a cute mini wreath and put it on my favorite barn yard sliding door frame on our mantle.
This was incredibly easy and quick to make. The longest part is wrapping all the yarn around the wreath, but altogether it look me less than an hour to whip together.
So here’s what I used:
Red tulle, white yarn, red and white twine, and for the actual wreath itself I used wire stems that I clipped off of two fake flowers. The fake stems turned out to be the perfect base for the wreath. All I did was form them in a circle and used Gorilla tape to keep the circle in place. I used two to make the wreath thicker.
As you can see I wrapped the white yarn around the stems to create the wreath look, and then I used some of the red tulle on one section so it wasn’t all just plain white. I cut out little triangles on kraft paper for the banner, and used red stickers to spell out “XOXO” on the banner. I used the red and white twine to hang the banner on the wreath.
I found a piece of red ribbon to hang the wreath on a frame, and added some white heart stickers to the red tulle. Here it is completed:
And that’s it! So easy to make, and so cute to put around your house for Valentines Day. I want to make mini wreaths for every holiday now!
