I love the idea of inspiration boards, books and binders. Looking at different books, magazines and online are the perfect ways to get inspiration to create new projects and to feel motivated! I love going through Architectural Digest, Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware and Real Simple magazines to find new products and to get new ideas. Even if you find something that seems a little bit over your budget, maybe there’s a way you can create a DIY project similar to what you found. That’s where an inspiration board comes into play – tear the page out and put it on a board or in a binder to remind yourself for a new project! I created an inspiration board using a big cork board we got at Home Goods. I also use the cork board as a reminder board too, because I tend to forget things and have to write everything down lol.
I love going through different magazines and ripping out pages that catch my eye. It really does help you figure out different ideas to do for each room in your house.
In my last blog post I wrote about mantel makeover ideas, so right now I’ve been enjoying looking at different mantel pictures. It’s great to see what other people do with little spaces in their homes. I love this idea of the twigs in a vase with candles on the other side. It’s simple but makes an impact!
A close up of some other pictures on my board. I LOVE the idea of a simple and minimalistic bedroom, as well as clean and organized spaces.
I hope I’ve motivated you to make your own inspiration board! I’d love to see yours if you have one.
