This morning I woke up and decided to invite my Mom and step dad over for dinner. Her response was, what time? 🙂
My mom is seriously the best in case I haven’t mentioned that before. She’s like hanging out with a best friend, but was also an amazing mother growing up – and still is! But back to dinner, I told Charlie they were coming over for fajita night so he decided to invite his parents as well. We made a big list and went out in the FREEZING, windy, snowy-ness. I wanted to get a table cloth to put over the dining room table, and also look for a pots and pan set so we headed over to Home Goods, aka our second home. Looking for 2 things turned into finding random things:
My purse is blocking most of it, but we did find some good stuff today. We also found an awesome picture on sale to hang up in the living room or upstairs somewhere…doesn’t matter where – it was cheap and it definitely looks expensive, to me at least 😉 We did find a tablecloth and some random cookware, in case you were wondering. So after Home Goods we went to the store and picked up all the ingredients for the fajitas. Here they are cooking:

We did NOT try the new Williams-Sonoma Fajita Rub, but maybe we will this week because we bought a ton of chicken and peppers, so we’ll do a review. We’ll also add this to the recipe book here on RissHD.

This was our first time ever having people over for dinner and it turned out great! It was such a delicious fajita night, I think it needs to become a weekly thing 🙂 First family dinner = SUCCESS!
