I’m back with another wreath DIY! Of course for under $10 as well (under $15 if you need every single thing I used – I used some things I already had!)
I noticed over the weekend Michael’s started their “Lowest prices of the season” sale, and they get me every. single. time. I knew I wanted to make another wreath since everyone seems to love those DIYs so I bought some summer inspired things this time around (including plastic starfish!)
Here’s what I bought:
I already had the 18″ grapevine wreath from previous wreaths (I usually pop the flowers in so I can reuse the wreath). This was originally $5 last year, and I got it for $2.50 with a coupon. I spent $2 on the foam sea foam green and navy blue flowers (they were $2/piece and were 50% off). I also popped in the larger blue and white flowers that I already had, but those also cost me less than $5 when I did buy them. The starfish were $5 at 50% off, so I got them for $2.50 for a pack of three. The “J” was $3, and I used a 50% off coupon, so I got it for $1.50. This project totaled me roughly $7. If you need to buy the wreath and everything else, it would still be under $15 for you. Awesome deal for a wreath you can use year after year!
Here’s everything I used laid out…the three pack of starfish. I kind of wish it was a four pack, three is random to me.
These adorable little flowers are the ones that were $2 at 50% off…thought that was a great deal. I ended up using wire cutters to leave a few inches of space and slide them into the wreath.

And I already had these flowers from my Fall wreath DIY, but I thought they went well with this. Our porch is decorated with shades of blue, so that’s why I usually stick to these colors. Fun, bright colors would look amazing with this wreath! And white starfish!
The “J” I got – I love that it was already white and not plain wood. I used my Cricut to cut vinyl with “hello” on it. Painting “hello” would look just as good. I painted “welcome” onto our Summer wreath last year. You can find some cool options here for white wooden letters, too.

Ahh, I LOVE the outcome! Amazing what some vinyl can do. I secured the “J” to the wreath with some twine. I thought it gave it more of a nautical look.
I also secured the starfish to the wreath with twine – because of the nautical look (looking like rope)…
And that’s all there is to it! Just stick the flowers into the wreath wherever you’d like. Our front door doesn’t have space for a metal wreath hanger, so we have to use ribbon. This time around I used a chevron ribbon with some glitter on it.
