I’ve seen a couple projects of painted pinecones on Pinterest and I wanted to try out my own. I used Martha Stewart acrylic paint and a Folk Art acrylic paint from Michael’s. I did an ombre effect going from a white/cream color to blue.
I did one color at a time, lining the pinecones on a piece of cardboard. By doing one color at a time, it allowed some drying time in between so when I went on to the next color the previous color was dried (so smart, I know).
I bought a vase from Michael’s as well to put them in – this would be perfect as a table centerpiece for Thanksgiving! I have the vase on my fireplace mantel.
Love the finished look! Easy an inexpensive. I spent about $10 total for the whole project (Used paint I already had, pinecones = $4, vase = $6 with a coupon)
Enjoy your weekend!
