I am totally on a roll this year with DIYing my own wreaths for the season! (I have a post here and here about two other wreaths I’ve done if you’d like to see!)
Today I have a Fall wreath for under $10 for you all! I know, I know, it’s only August, but Fall will be here before you know it and I’m actually excited for Fall this year! We’re getting new windows in a few weeks (woohoo!) and we can’t wait to share that experience on the blog too! So after the new windows are in, we’re totally ready for the upcoming season.
To start out with this wreath, you’ll need an actual wreath (I reuse the same grapevine one every season, and just pull the flowers out). If you need to buy one, I got ours at Michael’s with a 50% off coupon, and got it for $2.50.
Here are the flowers I purchased this time around…Michael’s had their Fall flowers on sale for 40% off, so I got 4 little “bouquets”. I usually go toward white and blues, because our house is white and blue, but I think Fall colors of oranges and reds would be gorgeous too. I also grabbed a little bouquet of Fall leaves with a pumpkin and squash on there. So adorable! I got all these for a total of about $4.
I then took some wire cutters and cut them all apart so they can easily slide into my wreath:
I cut them so there’s a few inches of wire left so there is plenty of room to slide it inside the wreath:
I reused the “J” from our Spring wreath, because the colors seemed to go perfectly with this wreath too.
The grand total for this Fall wreath was $4! All I needed were the flowers, but if you need the wreath and the flowers it will cost you $6.50. If you’d like to add on a wooden letter, our local Michael’s has all letters on sale at the moment and you can get one for under $2! That would bring this project to about $8.50. Such a good deal for a wreath you can use year after year!
