This past weekend was absolutely crazy! On Saturday we packed up a lot of Charlie’s old office to get it ready for the U-Haul, and early Sunday morning we went to pick up the truck and drove it to New Jersey. My aunt was having a Super Bowl party and also wanted to give us her bedroom set! We thought it would be the perfect weekend to get the furniture since my mom and step dad were going too. So off we went Sunday morning to Jersey in the U-Haul. We got to her house, ate, partied, ate some more, watched Beyonce be amazing, kind of watched the game, then passed out. We woke up early Monday morning to start taking apart all of the furniture and move it to the truck. Whelp, we packed that thing FULL! The furniture is BEAUTIFUL! We are so thankful to have amazing families that have been giving us furniture and gifts ever since getting the house! My aunt and uncle were so nice to give us their amazing bedroom suite!
We left Jersey around noon on Monday, and we got home around 2:30. Unpacking the truck was like a puzzle. Some things were stuck at first and some pieces were just so HEAVY. When loading the truck, we had about 6 people helping. Unloading there were 3 of us. Me, my mom and Charlie. And at one point I was using all of my strength to help move a dresser out of the truck and it was just so heavy I almost couldn’t do it lol. Was not funny at the time though! I most likely looked ridiculous. But, we get the truck unpacked, and you think at this point we could rest for a while. No. We went to my Mom’s to get a bed from her house, a dresser and a nightstand. Done yet? Nope. Went to my Grandma’s house next because she also had a queen size bed she wanted us to have! She’s the sweetest Grandma you could ever ask for. Seriously.
We get the truck jam packed again with beds and furniture, then go to unpack again at the house. The truck is unpacked, then immediately we go to Charlie’s old office again to pack up the truck one. more. time. We pack it up, go home, unpack it, and FINALLY, we rest! Yay! After all this you’d think we could get a good nights sleep, but no, of course we had to wake up early to return the U-Haul. Haha.
Longest 48 hours ever, but totally worth it. We love our families and thank them so much for their help and for giving us so many amazing pieces of furniture!
