DIY Red, White & Blue Wreath For Under $15!

Happy Memorial Day! It’s been a minute since I’ve posted, but I thought a nice red, white and blue project would be perfect to post today! Here’s the latest wreath I’ve made that you can hang up for any red, white and blue holidays we celebrate here in the states to show some American pride.

Here’s how I made this wreath for UNDER $15! I used all of the below items (I ended up using larger red and white tulle, the small ones were definitely not enough. Each roll of large tulle is $2.50, and I got one half off). I also used a $1 pool noodle as the actual wreath, and a wooden sign from Michael’s.

I used Gorilla Tape (super strong stuff) to tape the noodle’s ends. I cut off about 8 inches of the noodle otherwise the wreath would have been too large for our door opening.

And here’s how I wrapped the tulle (and yes, this was a little time consuming, but once you get the hang of it, it goes quick. Took me about an hour to do all the tulle). Start out by cutting a long piece (I didn’t measure, but at least 16 inches long), and fold it in half. Then take it and place it under the noodle like so…

Take the top piece and place it through the loop…

And pull it up! If some pieces seem too long, just trim them. Some of my pieces were shorter than others, some longer, it really ends up all blending together so it’s completely fine.

I painted my wooden sign blue, and used my Cricut to make the phrase “Let Freedom Ring” to put on the sign (of course you can use stickers or paint your phrase on if you don’t have a Cricut). The stars I also cut with my Cricut using cardstock, but again, just create a stencil and cut your own from cardstock. I doubled up the stars and glued them together so they are a little thicker. I hot glued them onto the wreath.

And that’s all there is to it! Super easy, and super adorable!
