I have an awesome DIY project for you guys today! I came across this cool looking wooden sign at Michael’s, and decided to grab it because I loved that it has the piece of wood on the bottom to allow you to just flip it over and have two signs in one! I wasn’t sure if I wanted to paint it or stain it, but knew I wanted to do something seasonal with Fall and Winter. I decided to stain the sign with some extra stain I had, and use white paint to do quotes on each side! Take a look at what the sign looked like before I stained…
And here are the decorations I got for the sides…a little reindeer, leaves, snowflakes and a sleigh! So adorable.
I love this quote I came across for Fall, so I decided to paint it on with plain white acrylic paint by Craftsmart from Michael’s. After I painted on the quote, I laid out the leaves and then hot glued them on with just a dot on each leaf.
I LOVE how this came out! The leaves look awesome!
Next side up, I wanted to do a quote related to Santa’s sleigh or reindeer, so I decided on this one. I thought it went perfect with the decorations I bought.
How cute are they all together on the sign?! I love the snowflakes. They actually came with sticky dots so I didn’t have to glue them on, they stuck on pretty well with just the dots. I used a heavy duty clear glue for the wooden decorations because hot glue didn’t want to work for me.
Overall I love the outcome and can’t wait to display this somewhere in our home next month! Or maybe sooner lol 🙂 I’m really getting in the Fall spirit this year, I don’t know why! I’ve always been such a Summer girl. It’s probably because I’m totally excited we’re getting NEW WINDOWS in a couple weeks! This is life changing people!
